If you filled out our Licensed Officials interest form, called, or texted — you already know Florida needs more homegrown working equitation officials. You saw it before almost anyone else did.

That's why we're coming to you first — before this program is open to anyone else — with an exclusive invitation to join the 2026 Premier Class of the WEFL Foundations Mentorship for Aspiring Licensed Officials.

This private, early-access page is for our 2026 Founding Members during WEFL’s soft launch. After this introductory period, this page will be replaced with the full mentorship curriculum, enrollment schedule, and future participation details.

What This Mentorship Is (and Isn't)

WEFL does not license or certify officials. That is USAWE's role, and we respect that boundary completely.

What WEFL does offer is something the USAWE website cannot: a personal, guided, community-supported path that walks you through the process, connects you with mentors and opportunities, and makes sure Florida has the knowledgeable, experienced officials our schooling shows need to thrive.

Think of it as a well-lit trail through territory that currently has no map.

What You Get as a 2026 Premier Class Member

As one of our Premier Class Members, You'll help shae how this mentorship grows for future participants.  That's not a small thing.

Here's what's included:

Summer 2026 — Foundations

  • Guided study of the USAWE rulebook, at your own pace

  • An open-book foundations pre-test (90%+ to pass, retakes welcome)

  • A walkthrough of the USAWE Licensed Officials Program requirements, forms, and hour logs — so you know exactly what the path looks like before you commit to it

  • Help organizing your LO paperwork and setting up your personal tracking system

Ongoing — Mentoring and Community

  • Access to a private WEFL LO Pathway member group (online)

  • Regular online study and Q&A sessions (Judge track, TD track, or both)

  • Direct connections to show managers in Florida and around the country who welcome shadow judges and TD support — so you can accumulate hours as fast or as relaxed as your schedule allows

  • Personal mentoring to help you figure out your timeline and goals — whether that's "ready to scribe at Florida schooling shows by fall" or "USAWE L candidate by 2027"

Fall/Winter 2026 — Live Experience

  • Priority volunteer and shadowing roles at WEFL's planned November and December schooling shows

  • The December show is expected to be officiated by a USAWE S-level judge — a rare opportunity for observation and conversation at the highest level

  • WEFL is working with USAWE's Licensed Officials Program and Licensed Officials Committee to bring required LO clinics to Florida (targeted for spring and fall shows). Premier Class members will have first access to register when those events are confirmed and approved.

Recognition

  • A dedicated "Licensed Officials Pathway Member" listing in the WEFL Member Directory — free visibility to the public while you build your credentials

  • Founding Members receive elevated directory recognition for the life of their membership

What It Costs

There is no separate fee to join the mentorship.

Participation is included with a WEFL Pro or Founding membership. Some clinics or formal education events (including any future USAWE LO clinics) may carry their own registration fees. All USAWE membership and program fees are entirely separate and optional — you do not need to join USAWE or formally enter their L program until you are ready to do so.

  • Members who may already hold USDF credentials (L graduates, r judges, and others are very welcome — you're adding WE to your toolbox and adding to our credibility just by being here)

  • Anyone serious about helping Florida's working equitation community grow
