We’d like to start a “Founding Member Spotlight” series in June/July to introduce our earliest supporters to the broader WEFL community and help put real faces and stories behind what we’re building together. As a first step, we’re asking Founding Members who are willing to be featured to complete their member profile and send us one or two clear photos (ideally including at least one with a horse) that we can share on the website and social media. Every few days we’ll highlight a different Founder, sharing a short Q&A about who they are, where they ride, and why they chose to help launch WEFL.
Founding Members will have the option to be treated as Professional Members and included in our public trainer/leader directory when it goes live in July, and this spotlight idea is a key step toward setting that up. To prepare, we’d like any Founder who wants to be featured and listed in the directory to log into the Members Hub and complete their profile in as much detail as possible, including barn/location, discipline background, and how you’re involved with WE. Please also send 1–3 clear photos (at least one with a horse, if possible) and any extra details you’d like us to share in your spotlight to wefl@workingequitationfl.org with the subject line “Founding Member Spotlight.” We’ll use this information to build your directory entry and highlight one Founder every few days through June and July.
Sample questions can include:
“How did you first get involved with Working Equitation?”
“What made you decide to become a Founding Member of WEFL rather than just watch from the sidelines?”
“What part of WEFL’s vision are you most excited about right now?”
“Where do you ride and what does the WE community look like in your area?”
“If you could describe Working Equitation in one sentence to a new rider, what would you say?”
“What do you hope WEFL will look like five years from now?”
“Is there a horse or moment in WE that’s been especially meaningful to you?”
“How do you see yourself contributing as WEFL grows — rider, host, volunteer, trainer, cheerleader?”
