Heather Bender
**TCD caters to amateur owners as well as other professionals.**
I bring a lifetime of experience in the saddle to my training program, from barrel racing and trick riding to show jumping to the GP level, and Grand Prix dressage. I have been riding and competing in dressage since the late 1970s, with more than 250 Grand Prix rides on horses I have personally trained.
My goal is to use that broad experience to help each horse and rider develop a strong foundation in true horsemanship. I believe **Working Equitation is an excellent sport for developing the all-around rider**, as it challenges riders to develop balance, precision, adaptability, confidence, and a deeper understanding of their horse.
Whether you are an amateur looking to become a more effective partner for your horse or a professional seeking to expand your skills, I believe there is always more to learn—and that good horsemanship should be at the heart of every discipline.
